Kindle Love

After dinner last night (which btw was delicious, sweet, and yummy ... recipe below), I was on a mission. To make a sleeve for Phoebe, aka my Kindle. I had picked some Valentine fabrics for the project and I'm really giddy at how it turned out!! The Kindle fit (imagine that!) and I was able to follow the wonderful free tutorial word for word ... sometimes over and over, but I managed to get it done and even have hopes of making more of these little lined pretties. I'm sure it will go much faster next time because now I know what I'm doing.

Ok, the recipe!

Honey Barbecue Turkey Meatloaf
2/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs
1 Tablesppon Dijon Mustard
3/4 cup Sticky Fingers Memphis Original Barbecue Sauce, divided
2 Tablespoons honey, divided
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 lb ground turkey

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray pyrex loaf pan with Pam.

Add Panko breadcrumbs, 2 T of Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, 1/2 cup of the BBQ sauce, 1 T honey, the salt and pepper to a large bowl. Stir to combine. Add the ground turkey and use your hands to mix.

Transfer mixture to the prepared loaf pan. Whisk the remaining 1/4 cup bbq sauce, 1 T honey, and 2 t Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl. Pour the mixture over the surface of meatloaf and spread to coat.

Bake for 60 minutes or until done. Let rest for 5-10 minutes, then slice and serve!

Adorable Kindle case, Tanya! I love the fabric. The meatloaf sounds so good. I'll have to try it! Do you know I still do the muffin cups when making meatloaf. I'll be forever indebted to you for that tip!! :)

I want to try this recipe! Sounds good.... Altho I don't think I'll be able to let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes - it will get eaten right away - LOL!

I have a NookColor and have been thinking about knitting a cover for it... I don't know how to sew.
