squirrels, you like 'em or you don't ... and drool on this!

I have really enjoyed the comments from the previous post. Ya'll crack me up! From the be-kind-he's-cute comments to the do-away-with-those-rodents comments -- hilarious. Never you worry, he was unharmed and back this morning bright and early, with his best pal. They had quite the buffet! All the while Miss Maddy watched from her warm, cosy chair with crossed paws and content they were nowhere near her food.

I received some yummy fabrics from Lakeside Linens this week ~ the Vintage Maritime will be used first for my next sampler design. Don't you adore their fabrics? 32ct is my favorite.

It's pizza night here and I could eat right. now. It's all this food talk :) Happy Friday!

With all that lovely fur, I wonder if Miss Maddy isn't part squirrel herself?

Happy Friday! Enjoy the pizza.

Ha! As the pictures loaded, I had a chuckle over her fur matching theirs but I won't tell her ... hers is so much finer, she would say :)

I am surprised squirrels are still around--they are down here in Tidewater too! We don't usually see them in the cold weather. Plus the robins are still around... I know I look forward to seeing them when spring comes, but... don't have to wait--here they are! Hmmmm... I love the Lakeside Linens...and look forward to the next design!! Woohoo! Hugs!

We're in the middle of making brownies....I'm about ready to pour a cup and just drink the batter.... :)
Pizza night is ALWAYS a good night! We had pizza in Alexandria's "old town" on Monday night at Bugsy's. DELICIOUS!

We have a very saucy squirrel who seems to be living in the cupola of the chicken coop (which is screened off from the area the chickens live in). And there are several smaller squirrels that romp all over the large lawn - it's almost as much fun to see their prints left in the snow (what dances they do!) as it is to watch them. :)

Those LL are droolworthy!!

Miss Maddy is so pretty :) Love your new fabrics, I'm a 32ct girl myself. Is the Pecan Butter similar to the Examplar in colour?

The squirrels here totally torment my little dogs. They (the squirrels) hang face down from the trunk of the trees, just out of reach of Sophie and Gracie and make awful chirping noises at them. Drives the doggies CRAZY! I am a huge LL fan as well.

@Vero ~ Maddy is a maine coon. We adopted her when she was 6 months old and she will be 16 years old this year! She rules the house :)

@Karen ~ the pecan butter linen is slightly darker than the examplar - all their linens are so beautiful!!

Our feeders are full again and I'm hoping that the little devils don't come a 'calling at my house. I'm forever chasing them away.

Pretty fabrics!!

Cool squirrel pics! They will climb bird feeders.....learned that.....I love to watch them too. Funny when it snowed they were scrambling around for those large oak acorns we had in the yard.

the linen is gorgeous. 32 count is my fave too. I tried Vintage Cream once and it was soooooo pretty, I think I stitched Going Away with Jane Austen on that one. I bet Vintage Pecan Butter is gorgeous.

Aw, they are SO cute! Feel free to share all the squirrel pics you want... we don't get them (or yard bunnies) up here in Winfield because the locals shoot and eat them. Lemme know if you want me to ask the neighbor for a recipe for squirrel gravy LOL
