I saw these cookies over at Leslie's Blog and practically ran to the kitchen to see if I had all the ingredients. No powdered sugar to be found but I rolled these pieces of cookie bliss in sugar instead and let me tell you ... if you like chocolate or cookies or baking or cramming yummies in your mouth, then you best check your pantry for ingredients too. Go on ... get going ... you'll be glad you did!
Oh and when I was preparing the cookie dough, Ben walked in the kitchen and was worried I was making quiche as I had mentioned it earlier in the week as a possible dinner item. Poor guy - that was next up to make ... for dinner. Please tell me you have a picky kid where you are too.
I'll sleep pretty well tonight knowing there's a 6" snow blanket outside, leftovers for breakfast and homemade cookies in the house. Oh and it's still snowing. Be cozy!

My oh my, that quiche looks simply delish...
Both the cookies and quiche look delicious!
A delicious post Tanya! The quiche looks soooo good, and the cookies - YUM! I'll have to try them sometime soon.
Mmmm! That quiche will be so good for breakfast!
That quiche look amazing!!! Making my mouth water and I just ate dinner!!
Yum, yum! It all looks so good! I hope you're warm and snug inside with electricity!
Tanya, can I come over? :::Droooooool:::
Not that exact recipe - but I made spinach quiche last night for dinner.
And no you are not the only one; my 12 year old eats nothing I cook.
Mmmmmm....the cookies and quiche looks yum! The photos are making me hungry!
Those cookies and the quiche look great!
No fair, cause I don't have all the ingredients and I'm iced in! :(
But I can enjoy looking at the pics.....LOL I do have brownie mix and I believe that will be a definite for tomorrow afternoon for sure.
Oh, I used to have a son that was the pickiest of eaters ever and he is still like that and skinny too. I really wondered how he made it sometimes. But, when they get into teens, they will skip dinner and then go back in the kitchen and load up on cereal. That used to drive me nuts.
My husband eats anything I cook. I could cook cardboard and he would eat it.LOL

Oh, I have a very picky eater too. I made yummy vegetarian chili and she ate rice on toast (there is a picture on my blog). I made a yummy three cheese omlette and she went to bed without dinner. My one year old will eat anything I put in front of her but my three year old always says "yuck" and she won't even try a small piece.
This looks like a very tasty quiche, I am sure we would all love it, except my three year old, lol!
oh yes! i DO have a picky eater in the house. in fact, my boys both used to hide under the kitchen table when i would serve quiche for dinner....
i really DO try not to torture them. :)
SO glad you made the cookies.... and i love the sugar on them.... that crunchy sugar in my mouth... YUMM!
enjoy that blanket outside and those blankets in!
The picky "kid" in our household is my daughter's fiance! We've never known anyone so picky about his food. Slowly, I am trying new recipes, and he's finding more things he likes. It's frustrating.
YUMMY!! Those look amazing. Thanks for the link!
I don't think I mentioned that I made that shrimp chowder you posted a while back ... it was delish. :)
YUM-O, Tanya! I could dive into that quiche. I have a picky eater, too. He's now 15 and six feet tall and FINALLY eating vegetables and salads and chicken w/o acting as if he's being tortured. It does get better!
Love the snow pics of you, btw! :)
Oh yum!!
I was hungry BEFORE I read your post...now I'm famished! LOL
So very delicious looking!
Take care

ok I need to know what cookbook that quiche recipe is from. The cookies look good, but the quiche looks absolutely delish. Plus my chickens' egg production should start picking up and we'll soon be drowning in eggs.
Both look yummy. Glad to know you are so well provisioned for the "snow/ice-in".
Both of these goodies look scrumptious!!!
Yes, I have a picky eater, but I would say it is more my husband than my son. Though I don't think either one of them would go for quiche. :-)
Connie - the recipe is from GOOSEBERRY PATCH CHRISTMAS 2009 magazine.
Tanya :)
I have that magazine! And I've made that quiche twice! Love it!
those cookies are on my list to make...and soon. I love quiche but don't think to make it for dinner...what a great idea! yours looks delicious.
