The rain stopped, somewhat, for the trick or treating hour but picked up a wet pace once we were back home, thankfully. It's nice and cozy inside now. Ben is sick so he had to miss out on the trick or treating this year, poor guy. Although he did instruct Zack to get plenty of candy so he would still have some. Zack happy halloweened everyone he saw and yelled trick or treat at every door so as to be sure he was heard. He would then turn and say thank you for the candy until they responded back. We started at my brother's house and then stopped in at Mom's (I loved her garland on the door!) and then by my grandmother's house before doing a little zig zag walk down our own neighborhood for sweets. We then headed for home for real food ... hope your night was a fun one!

Zack is just too cute in his costume. Did he have fun? We only had one Trick or Treater this year and I carved a pumpkin. So Sad!!! Last year we only had three so I guess next year we will just Trunk or Treat at the church or forget it.

Manners were definitely lacking this Halloween and I was quite disappointed.
One child actually asked me if he could have ALL the candy in my hand (there were many children at the door) and I was so peeved that he only got one piece while I made certain his friends got several.

Did you make Zack's costume? That is a scream! I have never seen a Christmas tree Halloween costume on Halloween night before. So, so clever and ultimate cute! I bet you guys got plenty of comments on that one.

Thanks you guys! No, I didn't make the tree costume. A few weeks ago I found it at the thrift shop for $4.94 and it's made by Talbots! Looked like it had been worn once if that - it's one piece and just zips up the front with the hoodie as the top of the tree with star to go over the head with the head to pop through - very fun. Zack LOVED wearing it and it fit him perfectly.
Julie ~ Ben was very disappointed at first but it passed - when Zack and I finished for the night, he and Ben played a few rounds of trick or treat behind the couch which was funny....Zack giving Ben candy when he said trick or treat.
