I woke up very early this morning to the soft sounds of a drowsy baby singing E-I-E-I-O. Old MacDonald is one of Zack's favorite songs and one he can sing with all the letters now ~ very cute. Then I heard what sounded like the making of the Alphabet song which he blurs in and out from the beginning but you can tell from the melody that's the song he is singing! The singing stopped and he went back to dreamland but I did not. Instead I decided to embrace the morning and savor the quietness of it. Last night I had come close to finishing Stacy Nash's Early Style Alphabet Pinkeep Pillow and was able to finish the little piece up this morning! It's not that big; I want to find a 6X8 frame for it and hang it in the kitchen since the red/rust color of the bird and flowers go well in there.
Yesterday afternoon I fixed a large bowl of potato salad. DH had been inquiring lately when I was going to make more of my summer favorites so looked like time for potato salad! I posted the recipe on my food blog if you want to make it too ~ it's a goooood one!Here is a little free chart, Good Morning to You, from me to embrace your morning! It's part of a song I sing to Zack when he wakes up each day. Enjoy yours!

My mom use to wake me up in the mornings by singing songs like that to me clear into my teen years. It use to drive me batty because I was not a morning person. Funny that years later I would marry a morning person. My DH is the most chipper person in the morning He waked me with his whistle LOL
